Riding up from the beach towards Guadalajara was a big climb in elevation.. But luckily a very bike friendly road!
But beware of the cougars..
..and the heat
After we got to the top we had to wait a couple days in some interesting towns like Ameca, and San Isidro Mazatepec for our host, Levi, from wwoof.org to return from a trip.. Then we spent a couple of weeks in the very cool community that he lives in called Teopantli Kalpulli..
Sunny and I with Levi's mother Beatriz
We actually didn't do much organic farming on this particular wwoofing experience because Levi's brother Quetzal was opening a new yoga studio, Arbol De Yoga, in Guadalajara. Levi was in charge of putting the garden together. So instead of farming we did a little urban garden construction in the city for a week.
At the end of work week we attended the inauguration yoga session. 108 sun salutations! Aye aye aye is what we were saying a couple days later!!
At the Arbol De Yoga after we peddled to the city from Kalpulli
As I write this we are staying with Ivan, a warmshowers host, in Colonia Americana.. A very cool neighbourhood in Guadalajara.
A little snap of our ride to downtown today..
